We are proud to present to you the ‘Clinical Internship Program’ in USA, with our partner Texas Inpatient Consultants. Our partner is a leader in the field of medical care with a well-established presence for the last 30 years in Sugarland, Texas, USA. TIC has provided mentorship for students from across the globe for the last 16+ years through the international Clinical Internship program via its clinical volunteer internship.
Many of our international interns have become successful Doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and physical assistants in their home countries as well as in the USA, Canada, Australia, UK and Europe.
The Clinical Inpatient Internship program in Texas, USA is for aspiring students completing their junior year at Bukhara State Medical Institute, Bukhara Avicenna Teknikum as well as other medical institutes in Uzbekistan. It is open to all majors and specialties. We welcome post-graduate students too.
This is an extensive full-time, 12-weeks in-clinic, hands on internship program conducted at the facilities of Texas Inpatient Consultants medical clinic and affiliated hospitals located in in Houston metropolitan area. Program is conducted and supervised by renowned medical professional who are experts in their fields of Internal Medicine, Chronic Disease Management, Surgery, Cardiology, Palliative medicine and Hospice care.
In addition to their departmental placement, interns are divided into smaller cohorts that focus on professional development and support. Interns also attend biweekly seminars given by Texas Inpatient Consultants, guest speakers who are leaders in medicine. Students are provided with expert coaching for the USMLE exam as a part of the program.
We accept between 25-35 interns into this program each year. Interns are placed into departments based on their area of interest and academic eligibility. Each intern is assigned a departmental supervisor and a peer cohort.
Our Partner, Texas Inpatient Consultants (TIC Group) is a comprehensive primary care medical group, caring for patients 16 and older. They focus on preventive medicine and health maintenance by providing wellness exams, chronic disease management, Palliative Care and patient education. We help our patients to share in the responsibility of exercising good health practices for themselves and their families. At TIC, we believe in continuity of care and hence our group of doctors are available at all times to provide medical care for our patients in the hospital, nursing homes and clinic as well.

Fall 2023 intern, Ms. Nguyen, explains her internship experience. She states that this internship not only allows her to see the clinical and business side of health care, but gives her an insight to research as well! Being able to see many patients in clinic and in the nursing homes allows her to learn about many health conditions that are important topics of research in the healthcare field.
Fall 2023 intern, Ms. Waqar, describes her honest struggles with having no clinical experience. She used this internship to gain experience and did not realize how much she would learn in her short time here. She was able to gain confidence in her skills and she is sure that they will help with her future endeavors.
Fall 2023 intern, Ms. Battula, tells the story of her introduction to her medical journey. As she was unsure of what career to pursue, she chose the TIC internship to see if she would like going into health care. Through all of her experiences, she explains that this internship has benefitted her and she now wants to pursue medicine!

She notes how she was allowed to expand her horizons and gain great knowledge by being exposed to different kinds of settings, patients, and their health conditions. She highly recommends that prospective interns join due to a close-knit community, which allowed her to meet new people and medical professionals that she wouldn’t have before.
